G-APWG (155) During the winter of 1965/6 British United (Northern) based at Blackpool operated a daily service between Blackpool-Newcastle-Amsterdam-Dusseldorf and used the Dart Heralds of their sister company based at Jersey. Previously the service was operared by Blackpool based DC-3 and now the service was upgraded and shortly afterwards the Dart Hearlads were replaced by Viscount 800's. The Newcastle to Amsterdam service is still operated to-day by K.L.M. with 7 daily flights.
