Jazz takes delivery of 16th CRJ705 jet aircraft

HALIFAX, Nov. 14 /CNW/ - Today, Jazz added another CRJ705 aircraft to its fleet. This new aircraft will bring the number of 75-seat CRJ705s operated by Jazz to 16.

Jazz took delivery of the world's first CRJ705 on May 27, 2005 and has
since added 15 more of this aircraft type to their fleet. The aircraft is
configured in two classes of service - 10 seats in executive class, featuring
three abreast seating, offering 37 inches of legroom - 65 seats in hospitality
class with four abreast seating, offering 34 inches of legroom. Both cabins
feature all-leather seating. The CJR705 aircraft has a cruising speed of
880 km/hr and a range of more than 3,500 km with a total payload of 7,778 kg, including a cargo payload of 700 kg.

The first flight for the new CRJ705 is scheduled to operate from Toronto
to Thunder Bay, departing at 0630, on Tuesday, November 20, 2007.
Jazz operates a fleet of 36 Dash 8-100s, 26 Dash 8-300s, 25 CRJ100s,
32 CRJ200s and 16 CRJ705s to 84 destinations across Canada and the U.S. This latest addition to the fleet is a replacement aircraft for the CRJ100 which
was previously removed from the fleet.

Jazz is the second largest airline in Canada based on fleet size and the
only airline serving all 10 provinces and two territories. Jazz operates more
flights and flies to more Canadian destinations than any other Canadian
carrier. Jazz forms an integral part of Air Canada's domestic and transborder
market presence and strategy.

Jazz is not a typical airline. The airline has a commercial agreement
with Air Canada that is the core of its business. Under the Capacity Purchase
Agreement (CPA), Air Canada currently purchases substantially all of Jazz's
fleet capacity based on predetermined rates. The CPA provides commercial
flexibility, low trip costs and connecting network traffic to Air Canada.
Also, the CPA significantly reduces Jazz's financial and business risks, and
provides a stable foundation for day-to-day operations and future growth.
