Hawkair is bought by CMA and NT Air
I just received this press release:
TERRACE, March 16, 2010 - Hawkair would like to announce that effective March 15, 2010 the control and ownership of the Company has been purchased by a British Columbia corporation which currently owns and operates Northern Thunderbird Air and Central Mountain Air. Hawkair will continue to operate independently and provide daily scheduled flights to Terrace-Kitimat, Prince Rupert and Smithers to/from Vancouver. Hawkair continues to maintain the same high level of service and guest experience that has made the airline Northwest BC’s most preferred regional air carrier. “This new direction will be positive and exciting for Hawkair and its great people,†stated Rod Hayward, Hawkair’s General Manager. “We look forward to working together within the group of companies which has routes and charter services throughout BC and Alberta.†Hawkair offers scheduled air services from Terrace-Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Smithers, Sandspit (seasonal) and Vancouver as well as air charter services.
