WestJet to add new Mazatlan and Cabo sked flights

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Buenos Dias Mexico! WestJet adds scheduled service to Mazatlan and San Jose del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas Airline also adds third Hawaiian destination of Kona CALGARY, Alberta. August 15, 2007. WestJet today announced the introduction of seasonal non-stop service to two new international destinations in Mexico: Mazatlan from Calgary and Edmonton; and San Jose del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas from Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. These new sun destinations are part of WestJet’s enhanced winter schedule that also includes the addition of a new seasonal non-stop route from Vancouver to Kona, Hawaii. “Mexico represents the fourth international country for scheduled service,†said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Guest Experience and Marketing. “These announcements are part of WestJet’s measured expansion plans to fly to over 60 destinations by 2013. Our fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft is perfectly suited for these destinations, providing live seatback TV and pay-per-view movies at every seat. We are confident that the exceptional guest experience provided by our more than 6,400 WestJetters will make these destinations a success. “Turning to Kona, WestJet is quickly becoming the airline of choice for Canadians travelling to Hawaii. Our flights to Hawaii have increased to 21 flights weekly from 14 last winter and we also have improved schedules for our guests’ convenience. “In three short years, WestJet has grown to 18 sun destinations offering guests across Canada the opportunity to travel south in the winter.
