Just a quick reminder to tell everyone about the two Frankfurt aviation conventions this coming weekend.

The webmaster plans to attend both shows and looks forward to seeing many of you at these great shows. This is the world's biggest airline enthusiast collectible event!

1) Frankfurt Slide Convention SAT-SUN November 7-8 2009 (0900-1700)
location: NH Hotel Frankfurt Raunheim (same hotel for 2006 and 2007)
From Frankfurt airport take the hotel shuttle bus "NH Hotel Frankfurt Raunheim" (make sure you are on the correct NH bus!)

The famous annual slide-auction on Saturday night is a major highlight. This year's live auction will be run by Joe Pries,and Joe will be happy to accept your auction grade slides on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

There will be a pre-convention slide trading session as the hotel for table-holders only on Friday afternoon (November 6) starting at 1500.

2) Schwanheim Aviation Collectibles Show

Doors open: Sat & Sun 10AM to 6PM

You'll be able to find tons of models of all scales and brands, but also postcards, slides, uniform parts, wings, stickers, books, magazines, china - in short everything related to aviation. This is the biggest airliner collectible convention in Europe with visitors from all over the world.

The convention hall is in the centre of the village of Schwanheim which is close to the airport. The location can be reached by taxi or bus (line 62, get off at "Alt-Schwanheim"). From the city or main train station you can get to Schwanheim by streetcar 12 direction "Schwanheim/Rheinlandstr." (which is the first stop, and convention hall across the street).

This weekend promises to be an excellent weekend in Frankfurt!
