Abbotsford Airshow Arrivals Day report - THR AUG 9 2007
Hi Everyone, I was at the Abbotsford Airhow arrivals day yesterday and it was really fun. Lots of heavy metal showed, the highlight being the JT3 powered AWACS from OKC. It was nice to see four trails of 707 smoke in the distance. She did a nice fly past the runway with a center field battle strike peal away. Hope the video turns out OK. Will get it post as soon as I can. Otherhighlights were the B52, a KC135, KC10, the Canadian Airforce A310 Polaris, several Hercs, plus a bunch of F18s (Canadian and US), F16s, F18 Super Hornets and F117 Stealths. Shot over two hours of video so will try and edit and get some clips posted today. The B52 landed with parachute breaking and that was very impressive. Got great video of it taxiing onto stand. Great noice qualities! There were also a few Conair CV580s and DC6s in the new colours on the field too. But they were not active.

What a nice cast, either in the front line roles or the supporting actors. Too bad the Sixes and CV580 desperately went static ! One of each flying would have made up for a nice addition to the show.

Airshow video link
Thank you Alain... it was a nice cast! I love the heavy metal! The Conair propliners were not at all active yesterday which was a shame. Maybe on Sunday they will make some noise. Here is the video link to watch the aircraft arrive:
