Default Rejected images

Henry, you have recently rejected a number of my images stating that they are common subjects in cloudy dull weather, however you have accepted images taken on exactly the same day in exactly the same conditions. I find this inconsistent and certainly does not follow through from your initial e-mail of the 7th May when you invited photographers to upload photos stating the following " We also heard a common complaint from many digital photographers that the other gallery site rejects many excellent photos, for the most unreasonable of reasons. That will never be a problem at www.AirlineFan.com and I personally invite you to upload your airline digital shots to the site."
On many occasions conditions are not perfect for photography partucularly in the UK but if a subject is there we will photograph it as required.
Perhaps you would like to comment.

Regards

John

I would need to see exactly what photos you are talking about. If an image is of an Air Canada or British Airways A320 shot on cloudy dull conditions, then it will be rejected for this reason. Simple reason being that it can be easily re-shot in nice conditions. If you are talking about shots taken at ZRH on the cup day 2006, then your images also had jaggies and other image compression issues that also were cause for them to be rejected unfortunately. Whereas the other photographers images did not have these compression issues.

Henry

I agree with what you are saying but take for instance rejected image ID 2517946, there are no other Air China Cargo images on Airlinefan so it is not common to the site.

John

Can you upload that photo here in this forum so I can see it. That way I can comment as to why I did not accept it. Many thanks.

The system has now sent me the notification to this post so it is working now. I see the photo. It looks good from what I can see here. The only reason I would have rejected it is because of jaggies or other image compression reasons, which I would have indicated at time of rejection. All I can suggest is uploading it again so I can have another look. If it is without image quality problems I will of course accept it to the database. Thank you John.

I have uploaded the image again today. The orinigal reason for rejection of the image was given by you as "common subject in cloudy dull weather" no mention of jaggies or other image compression reasons.!!
